Move Well. Travel Well. Live Well.

M&L Retreats was founded on the belief that travel has the power to restore, inspire, and reconnect us, with ourselves and with others.

Our intentionally intimate retreats combine daily Pilates, thoughtfully selected accommodations, exceptional food, and authentic local experiences to create journeys that nourish both body and mind. Every itinerary is carefully curated, allowing you to experience each destination at a slower, more meaningful pace.

Whether you're joining us to deepen your Pilates practice, explore a new destination, or simply step away from everyday life, our goal is simple: to create an experience that leaves you feeling stronger, refreshed, and inspired long after you return home.

Meet Your Instructors

Melissa Holzman Goldstein

After practicing law in New York City and Philadelphia, Melissa Holzman Goldstein relocated to South Jersey in 2004 and founded the Zone Yoga Pilates studio community. A Yoga and Pilates teacher since 1999, she works with corporations, academic institutions, and conference audiences to bring mindfulness and movement into everyday life.

A cancer survivor herself, Melissa is especially proud of MHG The Path To You, a certification program she launched to train Pilates instructors in working with breast cancer patients and survivors, creating a space for safe movement, nutrition, and mindfulness during survivorship.

She also teaches Persuasive Writing and First Amendment courses at Stockton University, and believes her students, whether in the studio or the classroom, are some of her best teachers. Grateful, every day, to do this work.

Lauren Moss

Lauren Moss is a Pilates instructor living in New York City. Her Pilates journey started with mat Pilates right before COVID, and during that time, she completely fell in love with the practice. Once the world opened back up, she began taking Reformer classes and quickly knew she wanted to become an instructor herself.

What Lauren loves most about teaching is working with people and being part of their journey. Watching someone become stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves is incredibly special to her, and being able to share that with others is what makes teaching so meaningful.

She has also always had a love for travel and new places, and bringing these two passions together feels like the perfect fit, creating opportunities to move, connect, explore, and enjoy everything a new place has to offer.
